PROPOSALS & IDEATION

How do you sell an idea? In my experience, even the most visual people often need to see something to understand it. With that in mind, the ability to turn a thought into a picture is the most direct path in moving through many creative processes.

Over the years I have learned how to communicate my inspirations into many forms, whether they are a book, a box design, a plate or wallpaper.

Shown here: Examples of inspiration tear sheets that show a general concept of how I envisioned my artwork on products, followed by the products they became. Images 1 & 2: Ombre and gold glassware as proposed and the final product. Images 3 & 4: Born Wild baby artwork as proposed on a range of products and a gift wrap line that reached the market. Images 5 & 6: Christmas artwork proposed as pillows, textiles and other products plus a few of the items that reached market. Images 7 & 8: Springtime artwork with bunnies as proposed on housewares next to a few tea towels. I added a couple studio favorites at the end (wallpaper), even though they are still seeking a maker.
